SPIRAL left us in 2003, for that reason we re-used all his original art untouched.

Did you find the reset screen...?

It's good to be back!
Sorry I was gone for so long but I've been busy making a few games 😉
I reached out to Mon & Leonard about this project back in January.
Mon pointed out it was the 30 year anniversary in March... and Leonard mentioned the Revision was a couple weeks after.
Well... it looks like we have a deadline then!
Let's get this done.
It's been such a pleasure to work with everyone again.
Making demos was a big part of our lives when we were teennagers. It definitively had a huge impact on our careers afterward. We shipped some okay games I guess.
Experiencing the same feelings again 30 years later was priceless.
The Flip-O Demo was particularely important as it got us to work together for the first time.
It was also very well received at the time and we've always been really proud of what we did back then. We still talk about it everytime we see each others.
Unlike Leonard my 68000 skills are not up to par anymore. I decided to make this demo in WebGL but keep the feel as identical as possible to the original.
I hope the purists won't feel betrayed. Hahah!
You can watch this demo on any device and I tried to make it look good even on phones, especially in portrait mode.
I hope you enjoyed this demo as much as it was a real treat to work on it.

Jan 2023: on the Oxygene channel...
"Leonard do you have the gfx of the Flip-O? I was thinking of doing a remaster!"
"I can redo the gfx in an improved version!"
"On March 30th the Flip-O is 30 years old."
"Nice, we have a deadline!"
"But it's in 2 months! It will be too short!"
...41 days later...
"The Flip-O is done... what do we do now?"
"I don't know, you code too fast!!!"
To finish such a huge demo in less than 2 months... Oxbab is crazy!
But what a pleasure it was to work with him again on the demo!
After so many years and his life in California...
Getting organized, exchanging and working on the graphics for Oxbab were real moments of pleasure!
And the happiness also to work again with Jess & Niko that we contacted for the occasion...
With Leonard always present who was working on the Cycle-OP...
We'll do it again when you want Oxbab!

Wow… What a ride !
I created (or recreated, actually) more artworks in 2 months that I did during the last 25 years !
It felt like revisiting an ancient craft with fresh knowledge and a little more wisdom...
…While blindfolded and wearing boxing gloves to perform.
Making Flipo the first time was exciting.
Making Flipo for the second time was genuinely fun.
Thanks a lot to Mon, Oxbab and Leonard for reaching out, and who knows what happens next?
